If you’ve ever fancied trying your hand at Formula One racing, you should come and pay us a visit at this year’s Driffield Agricultural Show.
The East Yorkshire show, which is happening on Wednesday 20th July, is a much-loved event for the region and is one of the country’s largest one-day agricultural shows. This year we are proud to announce that it’s Rix Petroleum’s 69th year of exhibiting.
To celebrate we will be bringing along a Formula One car simulator to the flagship event, giving visitors the chance to test their driving skills.
And for those who prefer the real thing, we will also be displaying a Red Bull Formula One racing car on the stand.
Duncan Lambert, director at Rix Petroleum, said he was looking forward to another fantastic show day, catching up with old friends and making new ones.
He said: “Although we are a national company with depots from the north of Scotland down to the south east of England, Yorkshire, particularly East Yorkshire, is our heartland. That’s why we always look forward to the Driffield Agricultural Show, which is the region’s flagship agricultural event.
“The show is one of the highlights of the annual farming calendar when we get to meet up with a lot of our customers and catch up with their news over a cuppa and a biscuit. We also like to give visitors to our stand a bit of entertainment with whatever we bring along on the day. Driffield Agricultural Show is about catching up with pals and having some fun, and that is what we try to provide.”
Mr Lambert added that this year was going to be particularly exciting with the Formula One simulator and the car, which will be supplied curtesy of fuel brand Total.
“We think the F1 simulator is going to be a real draw,” Mr Lambert said.
“A couple of years ago we had an F1 car at the show and the crowds really took to it. This year, with the simulator here as well, we think our stand will be the one to visit.”
The whole Rix team look forward to the show every year, and this year is no exception.
If you are attending the show, pop over to our stand and say hello.
