Save money on fuel at the Royal Northern Spring Show

Farmers attending the Royal Northern Spring Show can find out how to save money on their annual fuel bill thanks to Rix Petroleum Scotland.

With depots in Aberdeen, Montrose and Grangemouth, Rix Petroleum Scotland will be on hand to discuss the forward purchasing of fuel, which enables farmers to set the price they pay for buying in bulk and avoid a fluctuating oil price.

We will also be exhibiting a range of agricultural lubricants and fuel tanks at this year’s show, which takes place on Wednesday, February 27th.

Visitors to the exhibition stand will also have the opportunity to win 10 per cent off the price heating oil, which could save them in the region of £150.

Mark Cessford of Rix Petroleum Scotland, said the Royal Northern is always a fantastic show to attend and he was looking forward to catching up with region’s farming community.

He said: “The Royal Northern Spring Show is the first major event in the Scottish farming calendar and is one everyone looks forward to.

“It’s an opportunity for everyone to catch up after what has usually been a long, cold winter, and also heralds the start of better weather to come.

“This year we’ll be speaking to farmers about how they can reduce their annual fuel spend by fixing the price of a year’s supply of fuel on the day they buy it, thereby protecting them against any fluctuation in the price of oil.

“This is particularly relevant this year as we’re just weeks away from the proposed date that Britain leaves the EU, which may have consequences for the price of fuel, so having the chance to lock the price down is a real benefit for farmers.”

The Royal Northern Spring Show takes place on Wednesday, February 27th at the Thainstone Centre near Inverurie.

We will be exhibiting at stand number M45 and invite everyone attending to drop by and say hello.
