Holdnerss Trio is made up of members from Skirlaugh, Patrington and Thorngumbald Young Farmers Clubs.
After a very wet week, the weather finally let up and the sun came out very shortly after the gates were opened and the crowds came flocking in. There were more than 400 attendees at the first event made up of a wide mix from old, young, families and fellow young farmers.
There were bouncy castles to keep the kids amused, food from Le Petit Café, Dave's Fish and Chips and Mr Moo's Real Dairy Ice Cream. Ripon Farm Services brought along their trade stand and a very shiny John Deere tractor full of balloons to allow the visitors to guess 'How many balloons are in the tractor'. Music was provided late into the night by Loose Coverz band.
Rix Petroleum were proud to be the main event sponsors. We had one of our heating oil / fuel tankers on show at the event as well as a small gazebo for people to come and say hello.
The final race of the night was in aid of the British Heart Foundation. The sponsorship and right to name the lamb was auctioned off on the night which saw a lot of hands flying high.
Although final figures are still to be confirmed as donations are still coming in it is looking likely that over £5,000 has been raised for East Riding Federation of Young Farmers Clubs and the British Heart Foundation Race raised around £500.
Thank you to everyone involved, including the Lambs!
