Customers that purchase their heating oil nice and early before winter will avoid the winter rush we usually see in the build-up to Christmas and are more likely to save money due to lower prices when the weather is milder and demand is lower.
We appreciate heating oil is probably right at the bottom of your Christmas shopping list right about now, even more so considering the unseasonably mild weather we’ve enjoyed recently, but now is actually a really good time to be buying your kerosene!
During October and early November, prices are usually much lower than the colder months of December, January, and February. Historically, when temperatures drop, the need for heating oil goes up and subsequently we experience a rise in price.
On top of this, with December comes Christmas. Combine Christmas with cold and adverse weather conditions and you’ve potentially got a lot of homes requiring heating oil at the same time.
Therefore, we recommend you be like the Rix Robin (pictured above) and stock up on heating oil as early as possible. Leaving orders until the last minute could not only cost more but there’s also the risk of longer delivery times, especially if the weather is particularly cold as demand will be higher still, and things like poor road conditions may hinder efforts to effectively make deliveries. As the saying goes, the early bird gets the worm. And this applies
As the saying goes, the early bird gets the worm. And this applies to heating oil. Order early and you won’t be left out in the cold during a busy winter period. Be like the Rix Robin, beat the winter rush and order your heating oil today. The early bird gets the warm!
