Summer has been and gone for another year, but luckily the warm weather has stuck around. To celebrate the extended summer weather, we thought we’d take a look back at some the agricultural shows we’ve attended over the last few months.

Driffield Agricultural show – Yorkshire

This is our Yorkshire depots flagship show and 2016 is our 69th year of exhibiting. The team were thrilled to take along a Formula1 Red Bull racing car and simulator, which were a big hit. To round off a great day meeting customer old and new, we were presented 2nd in the Best Agricultural Stand award.

Kenilworth show – Warwickshire

This popular show is a favourite of our Midlands depot and for the last 6 years they have been the main sponsor of the show. Supporting the community is really important for Rix Petroleum and all the depots support different events around their local areas.

Fillongley Show – Warwickshire

The team from our Midlands depot were overjoyed to win 1st prize for the Best Trade Stand at this year’s show. All the visitors had an excellent day watching the livestock shows and being entertained by Joseph’s Racing Camels and Cyril the Squirrel Dog racing Terriers.

Driffield Steam Rally – Yorkshire

We were lucky enough to have the perfect weather conditions to launch our Hot Air Balloon at this year’s show. Since the first ever Rix Petroleum balloon took to the skies in 1977 (to celebrate the Queens silver jubilee), they have attended village fetes, schools and shows up and down the country.

Nantwich Show – Cheshire

Set on the edge of the historic market town of Nantwich, this show was a great chance for our Mercia depot to catch up with their customers and meet some new ones. Their hard work preparing for the show paid off when they won 2nd prize for the Best Agricultural stand.

Royal Norfolk Show - Norfolk

The Royal Norfolk show is one of our East Anglia depots favourites. This year they took along one of their tankers which were a big hit with the customers, enabling them to have a closer look at how their fuel gets delivered to their tanks.

These are a few of our pictures from shows around the country and we still have some more shows coming up later in the year.
