Rix take part in Britains Biggest Breakfast

We have recently taken part in the annual breakfast event for Cancer Research UK. On Friday 11th March we invited all the Rix team to come together for a shared breakfast in our HQ in Hull.

They say that breakfast is the most important meal of the day so the team really enjoyed a hearty breakfast and taking part in some fun games and quizzes to raise money for this great charity.

Rix Petroleum joined forces with 5 local companies who very kindly donated breakfast items and gift vouchers to support this event and Cancer Research UK.

Cooplands bakery (Hull) – Provided freshly baked Danish pastries and bread, which were gratefully received by the team.

Tesco (York) – Generously provided some competition prizes, crumpets and fruit.

Jacksons bakery (Hull) - We collected various different styles of bread, perfect for toast and jam.

Sainsbury’s (Jamison street, Hull) – Donated porridge, coffee, muffins and breakfast bars.

Murdens soft drink and snack foods (Hull, 01482 836638) – Kindly donated fresh orange to accompany our breakfast treats.

The money we raise throughout 2016 will go to Cancer Research UK’s clinical centre based at St James hospital in Leeds. Working in partnership with the NHS and Leeds University they draw together world-class research and areas of medical expertise to provide the best possible results for cancer patients nationwide.

We think that local companies, working together, to raise money for a local hospital is fantastic. We would like to say a huge THANK YOU for their support.
