Strawberries and Cream

Strawberries planted in April should be coming through now. Strawberries and cream is a must for this month with Wimbledon taking place.

Recipe serves 4 to 6



  • 250g halved strawberries
  • Juice of ½ an orange
  • Orange zest cut off in strips
  • A drop of Cointreau or Grand Marnier (optional)
  • 140ml double cream
  • 1 tablespoon icing sugar


Preparation method

Ensure you give the Strawberries a good wash before use.

Mecerate the strawberries in a bowl with the orange juice and a slug of Cointreau for 15 minutes.

Whip the cream with 1 tablespoon of icing sugar.

Spoon the strawberries into bowls, sprinkle on the orange zest and divide the cream between them.

Sit back, watch the tennis and enjoy!
