How Does Our Heating Oil Pre-Payment Plan Work?

Our Pre-Payment Plan gives you a simple way to save towards your heating oil with regular monthly payments.

  • Choose Your Monthly Amount

    Choose how much you'd like to save each month, from £50, and we'll collect it by Direct Debit.

  • Build Your Savings Balance

    Your monthly payments build up a balance on your account, ready for future heating oil orders.

  • Place Your Heating Oil Order

    When you're ready, order your heating oil as normal and we'll use your available balance towards the cost.

  • Pay the Remaining Balance

    If your order costs more than you've saved, pay the difference. Any unused balance stays in your account.

Understanding Your Pre-Payment Balance

Your monthly Direct Debit payments build up a balance on your account, ready to use towards future heating oil orders.

For example, saving £75 a month gives you £225 after three months or £450 after six months, provided you haven't used any of your balance towards heating oil orders.

When you're ready to order, use your balance towards the cost of your heating oil. Any unused money stays in your account for next time.

  • What happens to money I don't use?

    Any remaining balance stays on your account, ready to put towards a future heating oil order.

  • What happens if I cancel my Pre-Payment Plan?

    Your remaining balance can be used towards a final order or refunded. Contact your local Rix depot and our team can help.

  • Is there a minimum monthly payment?

    Yes. Our Pre-Payment Plan starts from £50 per month. You can choose to save more each month and contact your local Rix depot if you'd like to adjust your monthly payment.
