Rix Petroleum are looking forward to their 70th Driffield Show
On Wednesday 19th July, we will be attending our 70th Driffield Show and we’d love you to help us celebrate, in style.
If you’re attending the Driffield Show, why not pop along to stand A15/15 and help us celebrate our 70th year at one of Yorkshire's largest agricultural events.
Take a walk down memory lane with our 1940’s replica garage forecourt and historic photos, or listen to our band playing classic jazz and swing while you sit back and relax in our marquee with traditional tea and scones.
Rix Petroleum director, Duncan Lambert said: “Rix first started exhibiting at Driffield Show in 1947, just after the war, and took a small stand. We enjoyed it so much that we’ve been back every year since, and now usually occupy the biggest stand of all.
“Driffield Show is a fantastic event to catch up with old friends, make new ones, and find out how the farming year is going.
“It usually marks the start of harvest too, so it is a good time to speak to farmers and contractors and gauge their fuel needs for the months ahead, which is useful to us and them.”
“Over the past three decades I’ve seen a lot of changes, mostly for the good, I have met a lot of people and made a lot of friends. Although we are a national company with depots from the north of Scotland down to the south east of England, Yorkshire, particularly East Yorkshire, is our heartland.
“That’s why Driffield Show is always an event I look forward to.”
The team are looking forward to another great show, we hope to see you there.
