We are looking to recruit a Trainee Operations Assistant, which is a new and exciting role within this depot, someone who is enthusiastic, motivated and has excellent communication skills. For the right candidate this role is an opportunity for growth and progression.

Working mainly within the Operations department and reporting to the Operations Manager, the role will also involve training in other aspects of the business including administration and sales.

More about the role:

• Route planning
• Servicing, MOT, ADR and Tank Testing scheduling.
• Stock monitoring and load confirmations.
• Organising and planning driver training.
• Conducting daily checks and inspections.
• Assisting the implementation and adherence to health and safety policies.
• Assist with any daily operational issues that may arise ranging from vehicle breakdowns to problems with site deliveries.
• Assisting incident reporting and investigations.

A successful candidate will have/be:

• High standard of English and Maths.
• Strong communication skills.
• IT literate with experience of Microsoft Office.
• A desire to progress.
• A team player.
• Organised and self-motivated.

We would love it if you had:

• Knowledge of transport logistics and heavy goods vehicles.
• Full driving licence.
• First-aid trained.
• Previous role within admin or planning.

Full training will be provided with opportunities for external certified courses relevant to the role. This exciting new role would suit an individual looking to start out on their career or looking for a change of direction.
