I was scheduled for a boiler service but the system was out of action following flooding on Boxing Day. I would just like to say that although the problem could not be solved I was so impressed with the effort that the visiting engineer made in his attempts to restore heating to the property. Last Friday the 14that nearly 5.30pm I discovered an oil leak to my boiler, a phone call to your Hull office and within 45 mins a man was here and by 6.30pm repair sorted. All this at a time when weather was atrocious. How’s that for service.

The installation of my new storage tank went very well indeed today and rounded off what has been a most excellent service from Rix. When the old tank containing, containing some 2000 litres, started leaking back in December I must admit to a slight feeling of panic. I was told by a colleague to call your number and that turned out to be a very wise move indeed.

The prompt arrival of your team to drain the old tank was a very slick operation, the loan tank and the 200 litre drums to store the fuel until the new tank arrived indicated a great deal of forethought. I had been in a quandary as how I would cope and this had given me cause for concern. The oil was transferred very quickly and the system put into working order very quickly, thanks to Peter and Nick. This service meant that we survived the winter months without any loss of heating or inconvenience.

The work went equally well thanks this time to Peter and Russell. A very slick operation carried out speedily, cleanly and with good humour. You have a very fine team of workmen who bring great credit to your company. I would have no hesitation in singing your praises to any of my friends and acquaintances who may find themselves in a similar predicament.

Thank you once more for a difficult task completed so competently and at a very reasonable price.

Would like you to pass on my thanks to some of your team for their excellent customer service. One of them – the lady (think I remember her name as Trish) who took my call on a freezing morning when my Aga was not working and who had such a friendly and reassuring manner, then called me back so I knew what was happening about when I could expect a visit. The other is the engineer (he signed the sheet T. Williams)who braved terrible icy road conditions into our village on three occasions, was friendly and polite and patient when explaining the problem and who made time for a late call so I didn’t have another night without heat and cooker.

Just a quick e-mail to let you know l had my boiler serviced last week, the gentleman who serviced it was so professional and helpful. l will most certainly be using  Rix again next year. The advice he gave me was excellent.
