Rix Petroleum’s fund raising for Yorkshire Air Ambulance gets under way

Rix Petroleum is excited to have partnered with the Yorkshire Air Ambulance and have already kicked this off by raising £1,000 in donations.

We officially launched our partnership with the charity at Driffield Agriculture Show; it was a fantastic day which saw the Yorkshire Air Ambulance raise a further £850 on the shared exhibition stand.

Rix Petroleum has been providing fuel to farmers across Yorkshire for over 100 years, it is incredibly important to us to support a charity that provides a vital service for the rural communities.

Duncan Lambert, managing director of Rix Petroleum said: “The Yorkshire Air Ambulance does a fantastic job of helping people injured in remote areas get the emergency medical treatment they need.”

“We have worked with the region’s farmers for more than a century and we know that often, farming involves lone workers in areas of the countryside that can be extremely difficult to access for conventional paramedics.”

“In these circumstances the Yorkshire Air Ambulance can be the difference between life and death. They do a fantastic job for the region’s farmers and we’re delighted to be supporting them.”

Previously at Rix we have raised £35,000 for local charities including Macmillan Cancer Support East Yorkshire, Cancer Research UK, Child Dynamix, and Dove House Hospice.

Everyone at Rix is ready to get stuck in and raise lots for this very deserving charity.
