Installing a new boiler features in top ten list of popular home improvements

Heating oil users will know that despite their efforts to keep their oil-fired boilers in tip top condition, there may come a time when they need to turn to heating oil suppliers to discuss replacing their boiler with a new model.

In fact recent research has revealed that replacing a boiler or central heating took third place in a ranking of the top ten home improvements, with 31% of homeowners arguing that they had carried this out within the last three years.

A further 15% were planning to do this in the coming three years. The survey also revealed that households are becoming increasingly eco-conscious, with 8% of consumers planning to install solar panels in the next three years and 8% already having done so.

Here’s is a brief look at the other home improvements included in the top ten, and how homeowners can make the most of their renovations.

Kitchen

Taking top place on the list, 42% of consumer argued that they had given their kitchen an overhaul over the last three years, with more than a third (34%) also planning to do so in the coming three years.

If you want to give your kitchen a brand new look on a modest budget, then why not invest in a re-conditioning AGA? This could be substantially cheaper than a new model. You may also be able to get a warranty on your re-conditioned AGA if you go through an approved supplier.

Replacing worktops, kitchen cabinet doors and adding in new flooring are also inexpensive ways you can give your kitchen a whole new look and feel.

New bathroom

Installing an energy efficient oil boiler is just one way that you can ensure that you can linger in your bath or shower without paying over the odds.

Using tile paints and bathtub paints can also help to give your bathroom a fresh and inviting look. New bathroom accessories, from shower curtains to bathmats can also help to give your bathroom a new lease of life.
